The pandemic has made it evident to travelers that hotels are not always the best option. Now more than ever individuals are taking their safety into greater consideration. For an underdetermined amount of time, large crowds will be a health hazard.

According to Statista, “the average number of rooms per hotel in 2019 for the United States is 326.9.” Most individuals do not travel alone and if they do it is primarily for business. Business travel is at an all-time low because businesses are looking out for their employee’s health. The rate of exposure increases with hotels. Vacation rentals allow you to select your travel partners and limit your exposure to other individuals.

About a month ago, Airbnb had their first 1 million vacation rentals booked in a day.
